Planning a Catholic Funeral

It is through the Funeral Mass of a loved one; worship, praise and thanksgiving to God, that we are all strengthened in our belief in the Resurrection, find strength and consolation through our faith in God. On the pages of Planning a Catholic Funeral you will find many helpful resources to assist you. We understand that planning the details of a Catholic Funeral Liturgy for a loved one can be an overwhelming task.  The first step, the Planning Guide, will assist you in documenting information and guide you in making choices. Once you have made contact with the office of your local parish we believe the Planning Guide will serve as a key resource between your family, parish, and funeral home.

You will find references for choosing readings, prayers, and liturgical music. We have provided answers to many of the common questions associated with funeral rites and catholic traditions.  Please do not hesitate to contact either your local parish or the funeral home for more information.
