Once we have been advised of the death, we will request to speak to the legal representative named in the will. If there is no will or you are unsure to whom this responsibility will fall, we will guide you through the priority order of responsibility as outlined with the Province of BC. Legal Representative Section 5 BC.

With your initial contact to Springfield Funeral Home the Director will obtain the following information regarding the Deceased loved one.

- Full name of deceased loved one, date of death, current location of deceased, Family Doctor Name, residency address of deceased, Surviving Spouses Name, Address, Phone #, and email address OR Legal Representative name, address, phone #, email address and relationship to deceased.

An attendant, employed by Springfield Funeral Home, will attend the location of your deceased loved one and receive your loved one into our care.

INITIAL MEETING WITH FUNERAL DIRECTOR

Once your loved one has been received into our care, a Funeral Director will contact the spouse or legal representative to obtain additional information.

*Your Director will make certified copies of the documents, which will be of assistance when settling the Estate afterwards.

- Assist with the possibility there will be two services, one at Springfield Funeral Home that includes Cremation and one at the SIKH Temple.

You can be assured the Funeral Director will remain in contact with the Legal Representative via email or phone to ensure all questions are answered and needs are met.
